Pitada d'Amor

My name is Cláudia Almeida, I am from Oporto, more specifically from Gondomar, and my passion for sweets has existed since my childhood, when I helped my mother and grandmother make cakes for the family. I remember being very little and enjoying making cakes more than playing with the dolls.

In 2016, for the encouragement of many people, I decided to take the Certified Professional Design Cake course at Sugar Art School and since then I realized that this was my way. I chose to follow my sweet dream, putting aside my old profession.

I have always tried to develop myself through trainings, especially as an Event Planner, since many requests began to create the whole event and not just the cake design part. In this wider area I have the support of excellent suppliers. I am also Certified Trainer, giving private cake design workshops in my studio. Teaching is also an area that fascinates me a lot!

I consider that a cake should be beautiful and aesthetically perfect, but its interior is as or more important than the outside. As such, my pasta and fillings are totally homemade, made with great quality ingredients. Many of the recipes are from my family, others I created them, with many hours of testing to achieve the desired result, where the use of the freshest and best quality ingredients is preferred, so that prepared, pre-made products or preservatives , have no place in my atelier!

Given that each candy is personalized, I do not have price lists since I work exclusively on a budget. Each project is unique and, as such, its value is also, depending on a number of factors, which makes my work individualized and directed to that particular client!

I love my work in all its aspects, but the area of weddings is the one that I love the most, maybe because I'm an incurable romantic! Pitada d'Amor means Pinch of Love ❤

I believe that all those who entrust to me something feel the love I give to each creation, hence I have chosen the name Pita d'Amor, because I know that the secret is really this magic word. All of my clients make me grow a lot, constantly challenging myself and it's always rewarding to receive words that make me want to be better and better!
