It`s not a surprise, that the wedding celebration could be rather expensive, no matter how wisely you plan your wedding budget. Of course, people always try to make their wedding like they always dreamed of, but their budget is not endless, so they need to think rationally. However, the more popular are bride and groom are, the more expensive wedding will be. So, the most expensive weddings of all time are represented below.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston
In July 2000, there was a million-dollar wedding at a Malibu estate. That was the wedding day of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, the most popular actor couple of '90s. The couple spent about $100,000 on security for their big day, which included restricting the airspace around the venue, and dropped another $75,000 on florals. The bride and groom also splurged on multiple musical performers, including a six-piece band, and they ended the wedding with a $20,000 firework bang to close out the monumental evening.
Elizabeth Taylor and Larry Fortensky
The eight-time bride Elizabeth Taylor had her fair share of weddings, but her marriage with Larry Fortensky took the over-the-top cake. In 1991, an Old Hollywood actress spent $1.5 million on her final wedding. A large percentage of the budget went to hiring event security, which included 100 security guards and a former Israeli army officer. The bride sported a $25,000 Valentino wedding dress, too. A certain part of the bride`s budget was spent to invite celebrities from different spheres of art.
Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman
Christina Aguilera spent $2 million on her most unexpected wedding in December 2005. Aguilera's dress alone was priced at $30,000, which is more than what most people spend on their entire weddings in general. A popular wedding planner Michael Gapinski was invited there to decorate the estate venue with costly birch trees, white faux fur, chandeliers made from tree branches, and centerpieces with hydrangeas, roses, and amaryllis, so his work was costed a lot, too.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Unsurprisingly, this modern couple also broke the bank to organize their gorgeous luxury wedding. They decided to celebrate in Paris, and then in Florence. The couple spent at least $2.8 million on their wedding needs & wishes. They rented a huge venue, Forte di Belvedere, for $400,000. Kim also was dressed up in two different fantastic dresses for her big day, one of which was a $500,000 custom-made, couture Givenchy gown. Hotel accommodations for their 200 guests either in Paris or Florence cost half a million dollar bill(!).
