5. Timing is everything.
When it comes to giving a wedding speech, it’s important that you keep it short and sweet. If you go on for too long, the person you talk to and the guests probably will lose the main point of your speech.
6. Take it seriously.
One thing else that you need to keep in mind is that the creating a wedding speech is kind of a big deal. You have the duty to represent your speech seriously, clearly and smartly. But don’t forget to smile, and of course you can cry, if you can’t hide your happiness and emotions!
7. Practise makes perfect.
The less you need to rely on your notes, the more natural your speech is going to sound on your big day. The best way to get yourself to a point where you are not dependent on your notes is to practise! Just imagine the right person and repeat your speech as often as you can!
8. Choose a quote.
If you need to find an inspiration for your speech, you can take the quote of famous person or the line from your favourite song as a beginning phrase. You can also take the favorite quote of your partner or the phrase which describes your relationship.
9. Find your own style.
You should always remember the the phrase `Be yourself. Other roles are already taken`. It is directly connected with wedding speech, too. You shouldn`t copy someone`s great speech to express the great feelings of yours. Let your speech be simple and even short, but you should say everything you want to person you love, and in that way, which is more comfortable for you.
10. Keep calm and relax.
Don`t worry about your speech too much, because it will last only a few minutes. Remember the one thing - you prepared the speech to the person you love, a friend of your whole life, so the person you talk to will surely understand and support you even if something goes wrong!
