Our Story

  My name is Thrassivoulos Bolakis and, together with my wife, Eleni, we decided to create Sea View by En Kipo in Chania, Crete. Before we come to talk about where we are today, let us go back to how it all started. It was in 1995 that I started my professional career in the field of Floriculture by setting out initiatives in the field of garden planning and construction. In early 2003 I established the first En Kipo nursery at the interchange of Mournies in Chania, Crete trading in a wide range of rare plants, as well as gardening tools, decorative materials, and accessories. While En Kipo nursery was successfully running as a floriculture business, Eleni, took charge of our floristry and decoration activities. Despite the fact that Eleni had studied Information Technology, she found her real passion in floristry and floriculture. In 2005, she took her first courses in floristry and decoration in Aalsmeer, Holland.

How it all started...

  It was our deep interest in the field of wedding decoration as well as our consultation with wedding planners that urged us to search for a venue that could host special events. We searched a lot, but when we found it we both instantly knew that it was exactly what we had imagined. An extensive, hillside location with an unobstructed sea view and an epic sunset…what else could we have possibly asked for? After some landscaping and construction, and after adding our own personal flair, we are now proud to share this venue with everyone. We are here to help you with the planning and decoration of your events and we are looking forward to meeting with you to help you make your personal dream or goal come true!

The idea
