The Forge is a beautiful, tranquil 17th century chartreuse set in a 184 acre estate in the heart of the Dordogne, steeped in history, only 45 minutes from the nearest airport and it is now available for you to hire for a wonderful holiday, celebration or luxury break. It is considered locally to be the most important building of its kind in the whole of the Perigord region and nestles in a wooded valley with extensive gardens, stunning views, a swimming pool and a lake. The Forge has been returned to its former glory and is the perfect venue for parties of up to 20 people. Weddings

A wedding at Chateau Forge du Roy in France guarantees that extra touch of romance for your big day. Relax and enjoy all that our beautiful Chateau has to offer and share some of those memory-making moments with your family and friends. Although we are a self-catering venue, we do offer a Concierge Service to assist in your planning. Our Estate Managers live on the property and remain a discreet presence throughout your stay. They are there to welcome your party as you arrive and will explain how to get the most from the property and surrounding areas. Our accommodation is perfect for an intimate wedding with a maximum of 20 people although we are able to accept wedding parties of up to 75 guests on the day.
