Chateau Dobříš

This rococo chateau with its distinguished facade captures the attention of every single person arriving from Prague to Dobříš. The current look of the chateau dates back to 1745-1765 when it was rebuilt by Henry Pavel Mansfeld. His daughter Isabella was married to Francis Gundakar Colloredo. This union gave rise to the House of Colloredo-Mansfeld who owned the chateau until 1942 when it was expropriated by the German Reich. In 1945 the chateau was confiscated by the Czechoslovak State and used as the Writers' House. The current owner of the chateau is Dipl. Ing. Jerome Colloredo-Mansfeld from Austria.

Weddings

There is a possibility of organising wedding ceremonies in the Dobříš Chateau. Since 1998 when the chateau was returned to the original owners, the House of Colloredo-Mansfeld, and opened to the public, wedding ceremonies in the chateau have become very popular. Many celebrities have chosen Dobříš Chateau as the place for their wedding ceremony.

We are constantly striving to improve our services:

– a new car park was built (ca. 50 m from the chateau, 10 CZK/day); the construction was financed by Dobříš Municipality

– the piano in the Mirror Hall was renovated

– a new floor carpet was installed in the Mirror Hall

– the marble flooring in the entrance hall was sanded

– dates for wedding ceremonies on our website

– symbolic and religious ceremonies are newly on offer

In addition to traditional ceremonies, we can also organise turnkey weddings. Based on your ideas, we will plan your entire wedding day, arrange for the premises, organise the catering, flower decorations etc. Accommodation is provided in **** Dobříš Chateau Hotel with the total capacity of 22 beds, including a romantic suite for the newly weds.

100% of all income from the rental of the halls, and any other revenue, is used for the repairs, operations and improvements of the technical standard of this cultural heritage site - Dobříš Chateau. It is thanks to you that we can go ahead with the extensive and demanding repair works. We strive to ensure that you feel at home in Dobříš and we hope that the knot you tie here withstands the test of time.
