Very close to Angoulême (10’ taxi drive) and hardly more than two hours from Paris by TGV, the Château de Maumont has a very special architecture, spanning over the centuries. Built-in the 16 C, it is surrounded by 5 acres of landscaped gardens with century-old trees, a delightful bamboo retreat, as well as a separate romantic 14 C. tower.
The Château of Maumont has been completely restored and revamped by Minka et Xavier so as to host receptions, weddings, cocktails, parties, as well as seminars.
A large sunny reception room opens up, with a few steps, on an 18 C. terrace above.
In the Castle itself, there are five spacious bedrooms furnished with family heirlooms, of which two suites, to welcome you with charm, warmth, and yet all modern amenities. Guests can enjoy a large living-room, a music room, and a delightful dining room.
