     Ballyvolane House is a magical setting for your wedding. Tucked away in the beautiful north Cork countryside, Ballyvolane has been in the Green family for generations, so you and your wedding guests can enjoy a slice of home-from-home ancestral chic.        Originally built in 1728, the house was remodeled in Victorian times to give it a more Italianate style; it’s filled with family heirlooms, portraits and antiques. The house is stylish, homely, has heaps of character, and is more “house party” than a hotel. Ballyvolane is run in an unstuffy and relaxed manner but you get all the attention to detail you would expect in a top-notch hotel. Couples also get the entire house and grounds on an exclusive basis for the duration of their wedding.

     Ballyvolane is a magical setting for your wedding and there are lots of options inside and outside. We have magnificent gardens and parkland around Ballyvolane House and in the past, we have had ceremonies and blessings in the woods, in the tin barn, by the lakes, in the gardens and the meal itself would be held in the dining terrace of our converted barn (max. 140 people when there are no restrictions) alongside the gardens. Weddings often take place on Saturday, and the couple have exclusivity from Friday (check-in) at 3 pm until Sunday at 12 noon, although there are other options for one-day weddings and other days of the week, depending on availability. We can offer flexibility on the minimum numbers depending on the time of year or day of the week that you are looking at.

     We still have some availability for weekends and midweek dates in 2021, and good availability for 2022.
