Altahammond House is a boutique B&B located 5 miles from Carrickfergus Marina. It provides luxurious accommodation with free WiFi and private parking.   Mallard Cottage, on the grounds of Altahammond House, is available to rent as a vacation rental. The Cottage occupies an elevated, south-facing position, with the accommodation laid out to benefit from the excellent coastal views towards the Copeland Islands, Mourne Mountains, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. Looking inland you can see the Knockagh Monument, a great viewing spot sitting high above Carrickfergus. As my Grandfather used to say "if you can't see Scotland or the Isle of Man it is raining and if you can - it is about to rain!"

Are you brave enough to cross the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, would you rather tour Bushmills Whiskey Distillery or spend time exploring Carrickfergus Castle with its ramparts, dungeons, and winding staircases with trip steps to deter any invaders? If it is the museums and galleries of Belfast that beckon you the City is only a 30-minute drive away or take it easy on the train or bus.
