Cupcake
I'm a Sweets Stylist and my blog allows me to share my "sweet sugar creations" with my friends. And I can tell you that I am very proud of what I am presenting because such creations are the secrets of a sweet soul totally devoted to the invention of beauty in sugar. My desks are meant to be a profusion of feelings made of sweetness.
I completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto at the age of 23 and started my professional life as a trainer in a company that provides computer services, and then moved on to financial planning functions at the group's holding company. I subsequently performed business functions (reaching the category of Client Manager) in a Commercial Bank.
Endowed with a gestural aesthetic culture that was given to me by the 13 years of training in classical ballet I have always demonstrated special abilities for works of decorative minutiae, namely of cakes.
Encouraged by my circle of friends to dedicate myself professionally to the decoration of cakes, I took the maternity leave to obtain an initial theoretical formation and so I attended in Lisbon the 1st cake decoration event, with the participation of Debbie Brown and some workshops of the same area.
Excited at the results I obtained, I decided to obtain further training and, in January 2007, I attended an intensive modeling course with sugar paste with Professor Ana Elisa Salinas in Rio de Janeiro, at Escola Bolo Arte, and in S. Paul had private lessons with the famous cake designer Patricia Schmidt. In March of that year in London, I attended Squires Kitchen International School of Sugar and Cake Decorating, 5 days of advanced confectionery classes with Tombi Peck, Alan Dunn, Paddi Clark, Maisie Parrish and Eddie Spence MBE (Master Baker and Queen Elizabeth, responsible for the cakes of the garden parties, the Queen's gold wedding cake, as well as Lady Diana's wedding). I founded Cupcake where I began to exercise in exclusive dedication.
In November 2007 I attended the Professional Wedding Cake Course taught by Paddi Clark and in January 2010 the Wilton Master Course , taught by Chicago School Principal Sandra Folsom.
In May 2012 I was in London at the Peggy Porschen Academy, where I perfected with cake designer Wendy Kromer the art of using the pastry nozzle using the Lambeth method.
