My name is Elysia Ciel.
Ahhhh, introducing myself is complicated, but here it goes. And yes, my name is composed, and yes "Ciel" means sky! (parents were hippies!) hahah!
Born in the US, raised in France with parents from British and Greek backgrounds, then moving to the Netherlands for 7 years! What does that now make me? This is a question that stirs my mind. But in essence, I am just international.
I have been photographing since 2013, were originally my dad handed me a Pentax film camera for no reason. When I started picking it up, I realised the beauty of how to capture a unique vision, with all the settings needing to be manually crafted to receive such a picture. Now I work with digital cameras, but I am a BIG fan of film, grain and the old pictures you can probably find in your basement!
I love to do beach shoots before the big day of the couple to get to know them and to capture their love in an intimate setting before hand!
